UEFA Europa League Game Week 2 – Best Bets

The UEFA Europa League resumes on Thursday with Manchester United looking to get back on track after a nightmare start.

The UEFA Europa League resumes on Thursday with Manchester United looking to get back on track after a nightmare start.

We are likely to see a backlash from the well-rested Red Devils, while Feyenoord are also among our tips for winning teams this game week.

Although Arsenal v PSV Eindhoven was postponed due to the lack of police resources following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, there are still some golden opportunities for punters this week.

Sheriff v Man United

Manchester United rested several key players for their disastrous 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad, but having had the weekend off due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Erik Ten Hag will likely tinker with his lineup and bring the big hitters out.

Among those rested for the last game were Raphael Varane, Scott McTominay, and the in-form Marcus Rashford, while Lisandro Martinez, Bruno Fernandes, and a reinvigorated Jadon Sancho appeared off the bench.

At anything close to full strength, United should be too strong for Sheriff, particularly after four straight Premier League wins. The Red Devils should win this game comfortably.

Best Bet: Man United -1Handicap

Foyenoord v Sturm Graz

Feyenoord are hot on the heels of arch-rivals Ajax Amsterdam at the top of the table after a fine start to the Eredivisie season. They lost their opening Europa League game 4-2 away to Lazio, but are on home soil against inferior opponents on paper this time.

The Dutch side has seen over 2.5 goals in all of their last four games and should see off their Austrian visitors in a high-scoring game. A Feyenoord win & over 2.5 goals is paying even money at the time of writing.

Best Bet: Foyenoord win & over 2.5 goals

Braga v Union Berlin

Union Berlin are flying in the Bundesliga with four wins and two draws in their first six games putting them top of the table.

Braga, meanwhile, are off to a similarly strong start in Portugal, sitting second in the top flight standings with five wins and a draw from six matches – a start only bettered by Benfica’s 100% record.

At 3.50 for a draw, there is a tremendous opportunity for a major value bet in this market in a clash between two of the most exciting teams in this season’s competition.

Best Bet: Draw
