Value and exotic punter Brenton Chelin combed through Europe’s leagues looking for the best value and opportunities for betting just for you. His four-leg straight win multiple is a great one. He covers Bundesliga, Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1.
The Rundown
Newcastle v Leeds
– Clash of styles
– Two worst defences in the league
– 10 goals in the two fixtures last season. Leeds did the double. 2-1 away and 5-2 at home.
– Hoping for some goals with Leeds to win & BTTS at just over 3/1
Norwich v Watford
– Two newly promoted clubs. Have struggled with the step up, especially Norwich who were handed a tough list of fixtures.
– Norwich pipped Watford to the Championship last year, but it was actually the Hornets that had the best in their two meetings with two 1-0 victories.
– Both teams have struggled a bit for goals in the EPL so far and sit near the bottom the table for chances created and shot conversion percentages.
– I fancy a low scorer here with Under 1.5 goals offering some value at just over evens and the 1-0 Watford win at 7/1
Spurs v Chelsea
– Spurs have overachieved under Nuno so far. Absolutely rinsed against Palace. Terrible even before red.
– Chelsea have been imperious. The draw at Anfield only blip on their record.
– Only get 8/10 for a Chelsea win, which is a decent bet. If you want to look a bit more exotic, I think I’ve found a good thing in Chelsea to win the FH.
– Fast starters. Leading in 3/4 at HT, scored 6, conceded just 1. Led at HT against Spurs in 5/6 meetings. At 15/10, I think it represents some value.
– One step further and take Romelu Lukaku to score first at
Rest of Europe
– St Etienne to win v Bordeaux @ evens (won 5/6 meetings all at longer odds)
– Last 3 matches have also seen BTTS, so the home win and BTTS at 33/10 could have some value
– Hertha Berlin to win v Greuther Furth. Change of system seemed to work as they picked up their first win of the season last time out.
– Firth have really struggled so far in the top flight, scoring only twice in 4 games, losing their last two games 2-0 & 3-0. They conceded on average 17 shots per game (the highest in the league)
– Roma have started like a house on fire under Jose Mourinho and sit atop the Serie A. Rather surprisingly for a Mourinho team, they have been fairly enterprising averaging 19 shots/per 90. Their opponents on Saturday rank third in shots conceded and have lost their opening three games. I can’t see why Roma aren’t shorter priced.
– BTTS Valencia v Real Madrid. Since 2009, there has only been 1 match where BTTS hasn’t arrived at the Mestalla. That’s 13/14 matches, with the only exception being a 5-0 in 2013 where RM were leading 5-0 at HT. I don’t want to use gift, but 15/20 looks great value. Madrid have also conceded 6 goals in their 4 matches to date.
