The Champions League group stage is heating up with a number of teams needing to win this week to keep their chances of qualifying for the Round of 16 alive. David Kappel, a well-known punter in South Africa’s betting Twitter ecosystem provides us with a 12-leg multi for this week’s round of Champions League fixtures.
Salzburg v Chelsea
Chelsea could qualify for the last 16 with a win. The Blues have won 5/8 games under Potter and kept 5 clean sheets. None of Chelsea’s games this season had over 4.5 goals. Salzburg are unbeaten in 17 games and have 3 draws and 1 win in UCL so far.
Leipzig v Real Madrid
Real have already qualified. Real are unbeaten all season and have won 14/16 (check odds for Real win, 2.85). Leipzig are unbeaten in last 7 games.
Zagreb v Milan
Milan beat Zagreb 3-1 in the first leg. Apart from the 2 losses to Chelsea, Milan have lost just 1/13 games this season. Zagreb only got 1 point from 2 games against Salzburg.
Benfica v Juventus
Benfica beat Juventus 2-1 in Turin. They are unbeaten in 25 games and have won 12/13 games at home this season. Benfica will qualify for the last 16 with a draw vs Juve. Juve need a win to keep their slim last 16 hopes alive but have only won 4/19 games
Celtic v Shakhtar
The first leg at Shakhtar ended 1-1. This game should promise goals – all of Celtic’s UCL games had over 1.5 goals, all of Shakhtar’s too, but better value in Celtic winning on corners. Celtic have won 3/4 UCL games on corners, and Shakhtar lost all 4 UCL games on corners.
Dortmund v Man City
City won the first leg 2-1 and have already qualified. Dortmund need a point to qualify. City have won the last 3 vs Dortmund and only lost 1/12, winning 9 of those. 10/12 City games this season had over 1.5 goals, 10/11 last BVB games had over 1.5 goals.
PSG v Maccabi
PSG are already qualified and beat Maccabi 3-1 in the first leg. PSG scored at least 1 FHG in 15/17 games this season. Maccabi lost 3/4 UCL games this season.

Inter v Plzeň
Inter need a win to defend their great position for second place ahead of FC Barcelona. Inter scored at least one FHG in the last 7/9 games. Plzen have lost all 4 UCL games, conceding 16 goals.
Brugge v Porto
Brugge are already qualified for the last 16 after winning all 4 UCL games this season so far. They crushed Porto 4-0 in Porto. Porto recovered with 2 wins vs Leverkusen. Porto need a result to keep boosting their last 16 hopes.
Napoli v Ranger
Napoli have won 11 successive games, 9 of them had over 1.5 goals. Napoli beat Rangers 3-0 in the first leg. Rangers lost all 4 UCL games so far, conceding 16 goals.
Barca v Bayern
Barca need a win or they can’t reach the last 16 anymore. Bayern won all 4 games so far, including a 2-0 at home in the first leg. Bayern have won the last 5 games vs Barca, but Barca actually looked strong in the first 45 mins of the first leg both are known to score in the first half.
Ajax v Liverpool
All of Ajax’s 4 UCL games had over 2.5 goals, 3/4 Liverpool games too BUT Liverpool’s last 3 games only produced 1 goal each! Liverpool will qualify with a win.
