It is still relatively early days in the 2021/22 Serie A season, but indications are that this is going to be one of the tightest title races in recent history, while it appears we are also set for an intriguing race for top four positions.

While there are no clashes between direct title rivals in midweek, there are plenty of opportunities for them to gain an edge on one another, as well as for punters to win big.

Our suggested bets can be placed either individually as single bets or together as a multi-bet for increased potential earnings.

Salernitana v Juventus (Tuesday-30 November)

Juventus are smarting from defeats to Chelsea and Atalanta and a trip to bottom-of-the-table Salernitana offers the perfect opportunity for a backlash.

Juve had 59% possession and 15 shots against Atalanta compared to their opponents’ seven, so they can count themselves unlucky not to have breached the opposition defence.

They are unlikely to meet much resistance against Salernitana, who have lost their last three home games. No matter how off-form Juventus are, this is a great chance for them to pick up a comfortable win on the road.

Inter Milan v Spezia (Wednesday- 1 December)

Inter Milan has picked up three wins on the trot in all competitions, with a 3-2 win over title rivals Napoli followed up by 2-0 wins over Shakhtar Donetsk and Venezia.

The defending champions are making a strong case to retain their crown and they are unlikely to run into any trouble at the San Siro against relegation-threatened Spezia, who have lost their last four away games, including three by three or more goals.

Best bet: Inter Milan -1Handicap

Bologna v AS Roma (Wednesday)

In recent matches, AS Roma have personified the methods of manager José Mourinho. They have won their last three matches with clean sheets, but the only one in which they scored more than twice was the 4-0 win over Zorya Luhansk in the Europa Conference League.

Bologna recovered from a 1-0 loss to Venezia with a 1-0 win over Spezia, so both teams have seen low-scoring Serie A games lately. They have both been inconsistent this season in terms of results, so rather than picking a winner, our suggestion is backing under 2.5 goals.

Best bet: Under 2.5 goals

Genoa v AC Milan (Wednesday)

Title challengers AC Milan have run into challenges recently, losing 4-3 away to Fiorentina and 3-1 at home to Sassuolo in their last two Serie A matches.

Andriy Shevchenko has a chance to inspire Genoa against the club where he became a world football icon. For all their recent struggles, Genoa has only lost one of their last five matches. If they manage to pick up even a draw at home to Milan, then there will be returns in the +1 Handicap market.

Best bet: Genoa + 1 Handicap

Lazio v Udinese (Thursday-2 December)

Lazio has won four of their last five home Serie A games and has a glorious opportunity to pick up another three points against Udinese, who have not won away in five matches and have lost their last two games on the road.

Maurizio Sarri’s men are predicted to pick up three points which can help them get back on track in the race for UEFA Champions League football.
