The 35-year-old goal poacher, Bradley Grobler, joins an exclusive club of PSL centurions such as Collins Mbesuma, Siyabonga Nomvethe, Mabhuti Khenyeza, Daniel Mudau, and Manuel ‘Tico Tico’ Bucuane. Grobler netted in the 2-0 win over Maritzburg United on Friday to take his tally in the South African top-flight to 100 goals.

Grobler joined SuperSport United back in 2014 from Ajax Cape Town (Cape Town Spurs). His best season was the 2020/21 season, he scored 16 league goals in 26 games and became the top goal scorer that season. Grobler has won four major trophies with Matsatsantsa, Telkom Knockout, two Nedbank Cups, and MTN 8.

The record for the highest all-time scorer is 123 set by ‘Bhele’ Nomvethe, and Grobler feels he can break it if he stays injury free and plays as many games as possible. The goal was Grobler’s eighth this season, and he remains in contention for the Golden Boot, he is one behind Peter Shalulile. SuperSport coach Gavin Hunt was full of praise for the striker and said it’s a great achievement for him.
