Newlands Rugby Stadium plays host to what should be an epic clash between league leaders Kaizer Chiefs and a dangerous Cape Town City outfit.
This fixture tends to serve up lots of entertainment and this is expected to be the case once again with a 1-1 draw tipped as the final result.
Prediction: 1-1 Draw
The Lions of the North have been plagued by injuries, but being back at Makhulong Stadium against AmaZulu will play to their advantage.
Usuthu played well in their 0-0 draw with Orlando Pirates but have not scored yet this season. This should be an even contest and another draw is on the cards.
Prediction: 1-1 Draw
Matsatsantsa have got their season off to a good start considering that they have already played Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, as well as Bidvest Wits in the MTN8.
SuperSport United picked up four league points and progressed to the semi-finals against the Clever Boys, so it is difficult to look past backing them for victory over Baroka at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Prediction: SuperSport United Win 2-1
Wits have got their season off to a relatively good start with two wins from three league games. They host a Stellenbosch side which has been solid at the back but struggled at the other end.
The Clever Boys can’t expect to have it easy at Bidvest Stadium, but they have enough firepower to see themselves through this fixture.
Prediction: Bidvest Wits Win 1-0
Maritzburg United and Black Leopards have each only scored one goal in three games this season, so don’t expect many when they face off at the Harry Gwala Stadium.
The Team of Choice drew 0-0 with Stellenbosch in their last match while Black Leopards were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Highlands Park. The spoils are expected to be shared once again on Wednesday.
Prediction: 0-0 Draw
These two teams have already produced an MTN8 thriller this season, which Sundowns won 3-1. Less than two weeks later, they meet again at the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium.
Home advantage should work in Phunya Sele Sele’s favour, but Masandawana have been boosted by a 4-0 CAF Champions League drubbing of Otôho d’Oyo. Pitso Mosimane’s men are backed to snatch another victory in the Free State.
Prediction: Mamelodi Sundowns Win 2-1
The Buccaneers’ nightmare start to the season continued when they were unceremoniously dumped out of the CAF Champions League by Green Eagles. However, they still boast a quality squad and have home advantage in their favour for the visit of Golden Arrows.
Rhulani Mokwena is still chasing his first win since taking over from Milutin Sredojević, but is expected to get off the mark on Wednesday at Orlando Stadium.
Prediction: Orlando Pirates Win 1-0
The Chilli Boys will be looking to bounce back from an unfortunate defeat to Golden Arrows as they host in-form Rise and Shine, who dumped Cape Town City out of the MTN8.
Polokwane City are the better team on paper, but playing at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium should help Chippa bridge that gap.
Prediction: 1-1 Draw
