Gaston Sirino

The DSTV Premiership transfer window closes on Friday 22 September, with some clubs looking to strengthen their squad. There are some possible deals that might go on and Bet Central is looking at those.

Here is the list of done deals thus far in the transfer window:

Sibongiseni Mthethwa

For the past two weeks, Sibongiseni Mthethwa has been all over the media circles for all good news though. The Stellenbosch FC midfielder is on the wanted list of two Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs. Despite these two most supported clubs in the country chasing his signature his club has indicated he is for sale at a suitable price. As things stand, only Chiefs have tried to stretch too much in terms of getting the player. It has been reported that Amakhosi had an R15 million offer declined by Stellies. Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki has made it clear that he wants the player to strengthen his midfield. It remains to be seen if the club will propose another deal or not.

Gaston Sirino

Since arriving at Mamelodi Sundowns back in 2016, Gaston Sirino has been a marvel to watch and has contributed largely to the club’s success over the years. But in the past two seasons, he has fallen out of favor as he has failed to have his place in the starting lineup. Before it was reported that he might head to North Africa to join either Zamalek of Egypt or Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca but neither of those deals went through. It now turned out that the 32-year-old Uruguayan playmaker might join Kaizer Chiefs before deadline day. If the deal goes through might be huge for Chiefs as they want to go back to glory day. Even if the deal doesn’t go through the player is deemed as the surplus for Pretoria Giants and stands to be released soon.

Khanyisa Mayo

Last season Khanyisa Mayo was in a red hot form and played a crucial role in driving Cape Town City to finish inside the top eight. With that goalscoring form, he was expected to get green pastures before the season resumes but his club gave him a more improved contract to keep him. Despite that, Mamelodi Sundowns has launched another way of getting the talisman in order to have more depth in their striking force. It is understandable though as the club prepares to have a long season especially having to play in the CAF Champions League and eyeing to finally add another title under their name. For Mayo to sign with Sundowns will provide another opportunity to win trophies in his young career.

Judas Moseamedi

Another player set to be snatched by teams before the window closes is Judas Moseamedi. The former Cape Town City striker is back on the market after a brief spell with Tunisian side El Gafawel Sportives de Gafsa which ended just after six matches. The 29-year-old Tzaneen-born striker is reported on the radar of two clubs namely Sekhukhune FC and Cape Town Spurs. If Moseamedi ends up signing for Spurs which is the club that has shown more desire in him will be a much bigger deal for them. As Shaun Bartlett’s troops lying at the bottom of the table without a victory, they need a striker with experience to sort out their goalscoring problems and add depth.

Happy Mashiane

One of the South African youngsters Happy Mashiane is reported on his way out of Kaizer Chiefs. The 26–26-year-old attack-minded midfielder has one year left on his contract with Soweto-based club. Mashiane has only tested 37 minutes of game time this season as he is failing dismally to crack into the starting eleven. Even last season he tested action only in eleven matches in all competitions. The club tried to loan him out to Moroka Swallows but the deal fell as the two parties didn’t agree on some other aspects. No club is keen on him but looks like Chiefs are willing to offload him before the window closes.
