CHIEFS FANS’ GUIDE FOR DEALING WITH DISAPPOINTMENT
2018 was a tough year for Kaizer Chiefs fans as they lost to their Soweto rivals on three occasions. Their inability to compete with the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits is becoming more apparent as the years pass by. But just how far behind must Kaizer Chiefs fall before their fans take evasive action?
Being a sports fan invites inevitable disappointment into your life. The important thing is how you deal with it. We have identified three greats ways to help you deal with the emotions of being a Kaizer Chiefs fan this year.
Firstly, I would suggest you acknowledge your feelings and speak up. Put your feelings into words and ask for change. Exactly like the distraught fan below.

Another strategy is to acknowledge your unmet needs. Identify what is creating the pain in your life. Sheed a few tears and then pick yourself up. Be your own best friend.

And lastly, sleep through the pain. While others confronted their feeling, these two took the total opposite approach. It’s the classic old saying ‘What you don’t know doesn’t hurt you.’
