Tuesday

Kaizer Chiefs (3rd) v TS Galaxy (15th)

The Rockets’ away form has been scuffy all season (just one win in 11), but they’ll take comfort from how Arrows managed to get all three points here just two weeks ago. However, given Chief’s impressive performance against Chippa, Galaxy look booked in for another tough day.

Galaxy may have a better chance if they score first (Chiefs have not won any game under Baxter where the opposition scores first), but they’ve only opened the scoring five times this campaign. Amakhosi still harbour hopes of a late title push, and these are the type of games they’ll need to capitalise on.

6 – TS Galaxy have failed to score in six away games – only Swallows (7) have more away blanks.

Suggested Bet: Chiefs to win or draw

Value Bet: Chiefs to win/draw

Wednesday

Sekhukhune (9th) v Orlando Pirates (5th)

Any newly-promoted side may be content with 30 points as an outcome for the season, but Sekhukhune will believe a Top8 finish is possible given the congestion around them. Their visitors are well renowned, yet have won just two games away from home this season – only Maritzburg (1), TS Galaxy (1) & Baroka (0) have fewer away wins. This will be another tough assignment for Pirates, but they have more to play for here.

10 – Only Sundowns (14) have kept more clean sheets in the league than Sekhukhune this season (10).

Suggested Bet: Pirates to win or draw

Value Bet: Over 1.5

Swallows (14th) v Mamelodi Sundowns (1st)

Downs are rock-solid favourites here at 1.80, and should be too good for a Swallows side struggling on all metrics. They’ve won just 3 games this season (the fewest in the league), and are the league’s lowest scorers, averaging 0.5 goals per game (11 in 22). It’s no surprise they are deep in the relegation battle.

10 – Since their opening home win over Royal AM, Swallows are winless in 10 home games – only Chippa (no wins at home) have a worse record.

Suggested Bet: Sundowns to win

Suggested Bet: Sundowns to win to zero

Golden Arrows (7th) v Stellenbosch (6th)

At the end of December last year, Stellenbosch were 3rd on the table. At the end of February, they were 5th. At the end of March, they’re down to 6th. Defeat on Wednesday and they’ll be down to 7th. If other results work together against them, they’ll be outside the Top 8. That said, they’ve been decent away from home – only Sundowns & Chiefs have a better away record.

0 – Stellies are yet to win a league game this year (P5 W0 D4 L1), with AmaZulu the only other winless side in 2022 (P3 W0 D2 L1).

Yet, the last two fixtures between these two have both ended 0-0.

Suggested Bet: Under 2.5

Suggested Bet: Draw

Maritzburg (12th) v CT City (4th)

Maritzburg are set as favourites in this one, which is rather surprising given that they’ve won one of the last eight games against City in the league. They aren’t exactly safe from relegation and that may be the impetus they need to deliver a good performance. However, City are the form team at the moment, and 2.25 for them to win looks quite tasty.

14 – No team has won more points than Cape Town City in 2022 (14, level with Royal AM).

Suggested Bet: Under 2.5

Suggested Bet: Draw
