MTN8: Fixtures, Dates, And Venues Revealed

The PSL (Premier Soccer League) had announced the fixtures for this year’s MTN8 quarter-finals, today they also revealed dates and venues for those matches.

The PSL (Premier Soccer League) had announced the fixtures for this year’s MTN8 quarter-finals, today they also revealed dates and venues for those matches. MTN8 is played by the teams that finished in the top 8 last season and is the first domestic trophy clubs will compete for.

Orlando Pirates have won the MTN8 more than any other team, winning it four time.

The winners receive R 8 million, all the games will take place next weekend, on the 12th and 13th of August respectively. With Dstv prem also starting tonight, all the teams are expected to show what they were working on during their pre-seaso.

The opener will be between the Dstv Premiership champions, Mamelodi Sundowns and Moroka Swallows at 15:00 at Lucas Moripe Stadium, Steve Komphela facing his former employers, followed by the defending champions Orlando Pirates who will be hosting Sekhukhune United at Orlando Stadium at 18:00 in what is expected to be a thriller, judging from the Nedbank final they played last season.

On Sunday, Kaizer Chiefs will travel to Athlone Stadium to face Cape Town City at 15:00, while SuperSport United welcomes Stellenbosch FC at the New Mokhaba Stadium at 18:00
