EUROPEAN TRANSFERS: THE BIGGEST DEALS IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE 2019/2020

It’s still relatively early doors in the Premier League transfer window but already there have been some eye-catching deals.

Below is a list of new signings to watch out for in the Premier League 2019/2020 season.

Spurs didn’t sign a single player last season but have returned to the market with a bang. The signing of midfielder Ndombele, who attracted interest from Europe’s elite, represents great business from Spurs.

He signed a six-year deal after the London club shattered their transfer record. They paid Lyon €62m (£55.45m) plus €10m in add-ons – surpassing the £42m paid to Ajax for Davinson Sánchez.

Ndombele, like a former Spurs midfielder Moussa Dembele, is a willing and very able dribbler from central midfield. He also the ability to play defence-splitting passes. Definitely one to watch.

The central midfielder has a devilish long-range shot off either foot, passes in between the lines and can be the heartbeat of the team. A big statement from the former Premier League champions.

West Ham confirmed that he is the club’s second most expensive signing, behind Brazilian winger Felipe Anderson, who joined for £33.5 million last summer window.

Fornals was part of the Spanish Under-21squad which took part in the European Championship last month. He is a technically minded playmaker who can operate in a variety of midfield areas, giving the Hammers another creative presence alongside the likes of Felipe Andersen and Samir Nasri.

Besides also being an excellent dribbler, he also possesses an engine to drop deep to win the ball back or can press high up the pitch.
