EUROPEAN TRANSFERS: THE BIGGEST DEALS IN LA LIGA 2019/2020

La Liga has already acquired some of the best talents in world football and there is still time in this window for more money to be thrown around.

After a poor season, Real Madrid have done their business early and have already spent over €300 million, you can read about Los Blanco’s transfers here.

Their rivals might not have spent as generously but they’ve certainly done some good business. Barcelona signed Ajax starlet Frenkie de Jong while Atletico Madrid broke their transfer record for a teenager.

The former Ajax midfielder de Jong joins Barcelona on a five-year contract for €75m (£65.3m), the fee could eventually rise to €86m.

He was one of the key players when Ajax reached the 2017 Europa League final and in their famous Champions League run of last season. The 21-year-old Netherlands international had been one of Europe’s most sought-after young players, with Manchester City and PSG also interested.

From the base of the midfield – he is a technician who can pass, dribble, tackle and great awareness to match. Barcelona will suit his style of play.

Atletico Madrid made João Félix the third-most-expensive footballer in the world (After Mbappe and Neymar) when they announced his signing for €126 million from Benfica.

Only 19-years-old, Felix is one of the hottest talents in world football as his price tag suggests. Naturally, the Portuguese international is compared to Cristiano Ronaldo after his exploits for Benfica.

Félix has scored 15 goals in 26 league games for the Portuguese giants and made his debut for the national team recently. He can score and create and plays with a youthful swag. A joy to watch!

Despite his youthful appearance, Sevilla broke their transfer fee record for the in-demand French central defender. Sevilla are known for spending their money VERY wisely.

After making his debut as a teenager, he has since notched up 70 first-team appearances for Bordeaux in Ligue 1, scoring four times.

He is not the tallest centre back but his athleticism and the technical ability is highly thought of. The club believe they can turn a similar profit to what they did with Clement Lenglet (Now at Barcelona) in 2017.

We have already discussed Jovic on BET Central, but the Serbian sniper is that good of a signing. He moved from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt on a six-year deal believed to be around €60 million.

Jovic was prolific scoring 27 goals in all competitions this season, helping Frankfurt to the Europa League semi-finals and seventh place in the Bundesliga.

The 21-year-old’s dazzling form put him on the radar of a number of Europe’s elite clubs.

The 24-year-old defensive midfielder completed a move across Madrid last month for £36 million. Llorente was being chased by the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Roma.

The youngster is known for his versatility in the central and defensive midfield positions. He can break up counter attacks and is seen as a replacement for Rodri.

On attack, he is the ability to play long balls and makes key passes combined with his tenacious approach to defence suits Diego Simeone’s Atletico.
