Bet Central brings you 5 Premier League players who have made an immediate impact at their new clubs this season.

Premier League Players Impact

The transfer window is long shut now and teams are settling into their routines and new signings are showing what their worth is. Bet Central brings you 5 Premier League players who have made an immediate impact at their new clubs.

James Maddison (Spurs)

He isn’t entirely new to the Premier League, so perhaps that’s helped with regards to him settling in at Spurs after moving there from relegated Leicester City for £40 million.

But his impact under Ange Postecoglou has still been massive nonetheless. He has in part filled the vacuum left by Harry Kane becoming a creative outlet that formed an effective 1-2 punch with Spurs captain Son Heung-Min.

There is a lot to be excited about when it comes to how Maddison is adjusting and thriving under Postecoglou’s new revolution.

Josko Gvardiol (Man City)

Josko Gvardiol has been on the big clubs’ radar for the last two seasons and it was Manchester City who finally managed to prize him away from RB Leipzig for a hefty fee.

His immediate impact seems to suggest he will be worth every cent, equally adept at centre-back or left back, he has mostly been deployed at left-back under Pep Guardiola and hasn’t skipped a beat.

It is a lot easier for attacking players to adjust to a system, it takes a bit of time for defenders to do so. The manner in which the young Croatian defender has adjusted is testament to his quality.

Declan Rice (Arsenal)

Like Maddison, Declan Rice is not entirely new to the Premier League having moved to Arsenal from West Ham for £100 million, but it’s still a massive ask to come from a mid-table club and have an immediate impact at a top 4 club.

His price tag probably suggests he should immediately be on top of things, but as can be seen with the likes of Moises Caicedo, that is not always the case. Rice has started incredibly well, he’s added steel to the Arsenal midfield through his breaking up of play.

He is a renowned leader and with the loss of Granit Xhaka, he becomes that much more important to the Arsenal cause. He is an astute acquisition for Mikel Arteta

Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool)

Dominik Szoboszlai or Szobo as he is affectionately known looks every bit the signing that Liverpool have been looking for. Szoboszlai is another of the RB Leipzig/RB Salzburg production lines that seems to churn world-class stars every season.

The attacking midfielder has settled well into life at Anfield bringing penetration down the middle and showing quality on the transition. His passing is dynamic and he is a grafter in that high-pressing system.

The 22-year-old seems like the perfect player for Jürgen Klopp’s system, he will need to be fit for the bulk of the season of the season if Liverpool are to push City for the title again.

Moussa Diaby (Aston Villa)

In the UEFA Europa League Round-Up last week, we made mention of the small and quiet impact Xabi Alonso is making as a coach with Bayer Leverkusen. One of the players who come from that production line is Frenchman Moussa Diaby who moved from Leverkusen to Aston Villa at the start of the season.

Owing to his club being a little smaller than the aforementioned players’ clubs, he has gone under the radar a little, but he has started really well at Villa Park.

In the Premier League, he has already registered 2 goals and 2 assists and is showing promise under Unai Emery. His importance to this squad will be highlighted even more by the Europa League participation – a competition he has played in before with Leverkusen.
