Premier League 2019/2020 Betting Trends and Tips
The Premier League season started with the expected title contenders pushing each other, namely leaders Liverpool and defending champions Manchester City. However, two pretenders in Leicester City and Chelsea have been lighting up the league with some exceptional displays and they now sit in second and third place respectively.
Another big factor this season has been the introduction of VAR which has seen an endless amount of talking points stemming from the controversial use of technology.
We are close to a third of the way through the season but here at BET Central, we have put together some important betting trends to help you with your punting.

The Premier League is a high scoring league with Manchester City averaging four goals (total) per fixture which makes them a great bet for over 2.5 goals.
Please note that the average is for total (both teams) goals in a match and not just the one club. Seven clubs average over three goals per game.

3.3 – Norwich
3.3 – Southampton
3.2 – Liverpool
3.1 – Leicester City

We highlight teams who are consistently over 2.5 goals in their league matches. It’s no suprise that Liverpool and Manchester City lead the way, they’ve seen over 2.5 goals 10 times out of their 12 league matches.

Over 3.5 goals can sometimes be a risky bet, however, free-scoring Manchester City have seen over 3.5 goals an impressive 8 times in their 12 league matches. As expected, nobody else comes close to their frequency although Chelsea and Norwich’s games clearly see a lot of goal action.
8/12 – Manchester City

Under 2.5 goals is reserved for those sides who have stingy defence and or a lacklustre attack, or just a mix of both. No surprises the promoted but gritty Sheffield United is on top having seen under 2,5 goals nine times out of their 12 matches.
Included in this list are clubs who are under 2.5 goals 66.6% of the time or more.
9/12 – Sheffield United

Under 1.5 goals is a rarety in the Premier League and like over 3.5 goals it can be risky but there are two clubs who stand out in this regard albeit they only see under 15 goals 41% of the time.
