Where: Old Trafford

Man Utd Form

United appear to be gradually regaining confidence and turning their season around. After four straight losses, they’ve now been beaten just once in seven fixtures. A 2-2 draw at Liverpool and a 1-1 draw at Arsenal and a subsequent win on penalties in the FA Cup were big results. A 3-1 win over Southampton saw Amad Diallo rescue them with a late hattrick.

After being beaten 3-1 at home by Brighton, they’ve rallied again to win three in a row. A late 2-1 home win over Rangers preceded a 1-0 win at Fulham with a 78th-minute winner in a cagey affair. In midweek, they went to Romania and beat FCSB 2-0 in the Europa League.

Man Utd Team News

Ruben Amorim is still without Jonny Evans and Luke Shaw in defence. Mason Mount is injured in midfield and Marcus Rashford is out of favour and may again not even make the squad.

A few players were partially rested in midweek and could return to the XI. Amad Diallo, Alejandro Garnacho and Harry Maguire are set to be back in the starting lineup here.

Man Utd Motivation

The side are improving their confidence but need to keep churning out results. They need to get the three points at home.

An open game is not expected. United were resolute and conservative at Craven Cottage and may follow the same approach here.

Crystal Palace Form

Palace have turned their season around since late October. Their last 15 league matches have only seen three defeats A 3-1 win at Brighton made it one loss in eight before taking a 5-1 home thrashing from Arsenal. A credible 0-0 draw at free-flowing Bournemouth followed.

Since that valuable point, they’ve won three of their last five fixtures. A 2-1 home win over Southampton was followed by an impressive 1-1 draw at Chelsea. Palace then won 2-0 at both Leicester City and West Ham. Last weekend saw an off-display to lose 2-1 at home to Brentford.

Crystal Palace Team News

Key midfielder Adam Wharton is still injured and both Joel Ward and Matheus Franca are set to play no part. Late fitness checks will be needed on Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure.

Chris Richards should shake off a knock to start in defence with Nathaniel Clyne on standby otherwise. Young forward Romain Esse could again feature as a substitute.

Crystal Palace Motivation

Palace are generally playing with belief and consistency. They will look to keep things solid at Old Trafford and use their power on the break.

A draw would be a great result and Oliver Glasner could settle for a point early in the second half.
