Arsenal face Man Utd in the Premier League on Wednesday. The Red Devils have won their last two matches under new coach Ruben Amorim but have lost their last three clashes vs Arsenal. The Gunners have netted 13 goals in their last three matches.

Arsenal Form

Arsenal are coming out of a dip and are scoring freely again. A 2-0 loss at Bournemouth with ten men was followed soon after by a 1-0 loss at Newcastle and a 1-0 defeat at Inter Milan despite having 20 shots. A 1-1 draw at Chelsea before the FIFA break left the side a long way off the summit.

Arteta’s side beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 at home to restore confidence and then destroyed Sporting Lisbon 5-1 away in the Champions League saw them put up 3.89 xG. Last Saturday, they scored five first-half goals to win 5-2 at West Ham with 3.60 xG as they scored all five of their big chances.

Arsenal Team News

Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White remain absent in defense. Gabriel went off injured at West Ham but should shake off a knock to start this one.

Thomas Partey and Mikel Merino missed the last match and remain doubtful. Jorginho could again anchor midfield if neither player recovers.

Arsenal Motivation

Arsenal simply have to win this match to try to keep the gap to Liverpool. A draw would be a poor result.

The Gunners will attack and look to get an advantage. Once leading, they could drop back and control the game without worrying about possession.

Man Utd’s Current Form

After the sacking of Erik Ten Hag, Ruud Van Nistelrooy steadied the ship with a 5-2 thrashing of Leicester in the Carabao Cup before drawing 1-1 at home with Chelsea. A 2-0 home win over PAOK and a 3-0 league win over Leicester preceded the arrival of Ruben Amorim as coach.

A 1-1 draw away to Ipswich in his first match was followed by an exciting 3-2 home win over Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League after trailing 2-1. On Sunday, they thrashed Everton 4-0 as they netted three goals in 12 minutes either side of half-time.

Man Utd Team News

Man Utd are without Lisandro Martinez due to suspension. Luke Shaw could make his first start after injury and Leny Yoro is nearing a debut. Harry Maguire is available again.

Kobbie Mainoo sits out his match due to suspension so Manuel Ugarte could return to the starting XI. Joshua Zirkzee is set to keep his place whilst Amad Diallo will play as the right wingback.

Man Utd Motivation

United are still developing under their new coach. A draw here would be a superb result.

Amorim’s team will try to show some of their new patterns of play and won’t sit back in a low block.
