A 3-1 win at Man Utd saw a ruthless display of finishing with three goals from just six attempts. A 1-0 home loss to Everton saw a paltry 0.73 xG produced before a 7-0 thrashing at Nottingham Forest. Brighton bounced back to beat Chelsea 2-1 in the FA Cup last weekend having trailed 1-0.

Coach Fabian Hurzeler remains without Ferdi Kadioglu, Igor Julio and Pervis Estupinan in defence. Lewis Dunk is doubtful after an injury last week so Adam Webster is on standby.

Enzo Maresca rested Reece James for the last match but he is a question mark. Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile are injured in defence and Romeo Lavia is doubtful in midfield.

Enzo Fernandez will replace Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in midfield. Nicolas Jackson is struggling with an injury and is set to be missing for several weeks. Christopher Nkunku could lead the line once again despite failing to convince in that role.

Chelsea need to win to keep their hopes of finishing in the Champions League places alive.

They may be quite pragmatic in this match with the attack lacking pace and bench options. Enzo Maresca could cede possession in large parts and look to play on the counter.
