English Championship Playoff Double – First Leg

The stakes are high as Premier League status is on the line this evening in the Championship Promotion PLayoff first legs. It’s Bournemouth v Brentford in the first match on Monday night followed by and Barnsley v Swansea.

However, Brentford did the double over them this season in the league but the cloud of previous failed promotions campaigns hangs over the ‘Bees’. Expect the first leg to be a cagey affair.

Arsenal v Villarreal

Barnsley need to channel the home league form that’s seen them lose just one of their last 11 league matches. Swansea City held their playoff spot even though they laboured to win just three of their last 11 league matches. Swansea also did the double on Barnsley in the league, they won both matches 2-0.
