Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has named his final 23-man squad to face Morocco. South Africa hosts the Atlas Lions on Saturday, 17 June at FNB Stadium, Johannesburg on their last assignment on the qualifiers.
The Belgian tactician initially announced a 34-man preliminary squad last month, which he has trimmed down to 23 players. He has cut off 11 names with less than two weeks left before the tie against Atlas Lions.
The South African side have already qualified for the 2023 African Cup Of Nations in Ivory Coast, after defeating Liberia 2-1 away from home in March.
The surprising names that missed out on the final squad includes the defender of the season, Khuliso Mudau , recent Nedbank winner, Miguel Timm and Kobamelo Kodisang .
Meanwhile, the surprise inclusion was Thapelo Maseko of SuperSport United and Njabulo Blom who makes his return to the squad after he missed the last two clashes against Liberia.
