Ivory Coast v Egypt

Egypt recovered from its defeat to Nigeria by beating Guinea-Bissau and Sudan. With Carlos Queiroz at the helm and Mohamed Salah the kingmaker in attack, the Pharaohs should never be written off even when they are not at their best.

However, Ivory Coast is one of the best teams in the tournament and beat Equatorial Guinea and Algeria on either side of a 2-2 draw with Sierra Leone. Sébastien Haller is the most prolific of many players in the Elephants squad who can harm their opponents.

This game is likely to be decided in extra time or penalties with very little to separate the teams on paper.

Mali v Equatorial Guinea

Yves Bissouma is the star man in a Mali side that finished top of a competitive Group F, beating Tunisia and Mauritania on either side of a draw with Gambia.

They are unlikely to struggle too much against Equatorial Guinea, which beat Sierra Leone and an out-of-sorts Algeria but lost to Ivory Coast. There is value in a Mali win at 0.74 at the time of writing.
