A Recap Of The First 3 Episodes Of “Game On”

Episode 1

The first episode kicked off with Outright Betting, from the league winners and top scorers to the relegation battle.

In the DStv Premiership, Shane backed Mamelodi Sundowns to win the league again this season but thinks the title race will be a lot closer. He also predicted Orlando Pirates to finish 2nd in this campaign after they added some quality players to their squad.

Shane McGregor tipped Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund as the two teams gunning for the title this season, with the Bavarians just edging it. Bayer Leverkusen are the team to watch according to McGregor. They’ve bought wisely in the transfer market and have a talented up-and-coming coach in Xabi Alonso.

The Premier League is not known as the best and most competitive league in the world for nothing, as McGregor thinks five teams can win the title this year. Man City are the favourites but could be challenged by Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd for the title this season. Despite all these teams improving their squads in the transfer window, the Chiefs’ legend backed Man City to win their fourth consecutive EPL title, who are you backing?

Episode 2

With the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season kicking off, the focus was on the first round of fixtures. Shane McGregor gave his predictions and best bets for a number of games. These were his predictions:

Cape Town City v Polokwane City – Cape Town City to win.

Stellenbosch FC v Orlando Pirates – Pirates to win.

SuperSport Utd v Richards Bay – SuperSport Utd to win.

Kaizer Chiefs v Chippa Utd – Draw

Episode 3

The third episode of Game On was a special one, with the start of the Premier League season and the MTN 8 quarterfinals. Some intriguing matches being covered, including Brighton taking on newly promoted Luton Town.
