10 Matches To Bet On This Weekend
With the majority of the big leagues returning to our screens this weekend, it gives us a few more weeks of finding that ultimate betting slip and having some success. After a three-month lay-off, it remains to be seen what can be expected of the teams making their return this weekend, so perhaps an upset or two could be on the cards.
Together with the likes of the Spanish La Liga and German Bundesliga, who have already played a few games into their restart, let’s see where we can find 10 of the best matches to punt on.
Saturday 20 June
13:30 – Watford (3.45) vs Leicester City (2.15)
Watford and Leicester City make their comeback to football with what should be a cracking tie at Vicarage Road. Many pundits will have an eye on these two teams with much expected of Leicester City, while Watford notoriously beat Liverpool 3-0 in their last home game before the lockdown. Without any fans in the stadium, the intensity of the game could be well below-par.
Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 Goals at 1.90
Value Bet: Draw at 3.55

15:30 – RB Leipzig (2.40) v Borussia Dortmund (2.80)
German Bundesliga lovers will have the joy of watching two of the division’s most entertaining teams do battle this weekend as Leipzig host Dortmund on Saturday. Both teams are still some way off Bayern Munich at the top of the table, but this match should give us some indication of who could finish as the Bavarians’ runner-up. Both Leipzig and Dortmund focus on attacking football, so we should see goals aplenty here.
Suggested Bet: BTTS and over 2.5 goals at 1.74
Value Bet: Over 4.5 Goals at 3.95

16:00 – West Brom (1.60) vs Birmingham (5.60)
Football in England’s second-tier also returns this weekend with West Brom standing out as the best bet in the league. A few years ago, their tie against Birmingham would have been an all-Premier League affair, however, things aren’t quite the same with the Blues finding themselves in the thick of things in the bottom half of the table. West Brom, on the other hand are fighting for the title in the Championship, sitting just a point and one place behind log-leaders, Leeds United.
Suggested Bet: West Brom to win at 1.60
Value Bet: West Brom to win both halves at 4.15

18:00 – CSKA Moscow (3.40) v Zenit St. Petersburg (2.20)
Two of the league’s biggest heavyweights square off in the return of football in Russia as CSKA Moscow host high-flying Zenit. The visitors sit atop the standings and look to be on their way to yet another league title. CSKA haven’t had the best of season’s this term, but should raise their game against the big boys in the division.
Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 Goals at 1.55
Value Bet: Draw at 3.10

22:00 – Atletico Madrid (1.35) vs Real Valladolid (11.00)
Atletico Madrid will return to their famous home ground for the first time in three months when they host Real Valladolid. Atleti have lost just one home game this season and need to build a decent winning streak if they are to keep their place in the UEFA Champions League next season. Valladolid seem safe from the relegation zone for now, but a loss here could set them back if the teams below them happen to get a positive result.
Suggested Bet: Atletico Madrid win and under 3.5 goals at 1.71
Sunday 21 June
17:15 – Aston Villa (5.90) v Chelsea (1.54)
It could be a rough few weeks for Aston Villa as they return to life in the bottom three of the Premier League despite spending the big bucks at the start of the campaign. Villa have conceded the most goals in the Premier League thus far and there seems to be no way that they can shut Chelsea out. They could, however, sneak a goal past the Chelsea defence, who had shown signs of being shaky throughout the season.
Suggested Bet: Chelsea to win at 1.54
Value Bet: Chelsea to win and BTTS at 2.65

19:30 – Atalanta (1.35) v Sassuolo (8.00)
One of Europe’s most entertaining teams return in the form of Atalanta, which can only mean one thing for punters – back them to score goals aplenty. The Nerazzurri are fourth in the Italian Serie A and have scored a staggering 70 goals this term – more than any other team in the division. Sassuolo’s away form was well below average before the lockdown, winning just three of their 12 ties.
Suggested Bet: Atalanta to win and over 2.5 goals at 1.64
Value Bet: Atalanta (-1) at 3.85

20:00 – Galatasaray (1.44) v Gazisehir Gaziantep (6.05)
Galatasaray still have a realistic chance of claiming the title and will need to win these so-called favourable ties if they are to keep their hopes alive. The hosts have lost just once at home this term and have conceded the fewest goals on their ground. Gaziantep sit ninth on the log and have won just three of their 13 away ties.
Suggested Bet: Galatasaray to win at 1.44
Value Vet: Galatasaray to win to nil at 2.30

20:00 – Everton (5.50) v Liverpool (1.62)
All eyes will be on Liverpool as they aim to finally get their hands on the Premier League trophy. Their first big hurdle after a three-month lay-off is their fiercest rivals, Everton, who will love nothing more than to delay their crosstown rival’s celebrations. The break would have made Liverpool forget about that famous 3-0 defeat to Watford, now, Jurgen Klopp’s men have a fresh start. Everton have always had a torrid time against Liverpool in recent years, and it just seems like it could be more of the same here.
Suggested Bet: Liverpool to win at 1.63
Value Bet: Mohamed Salah to score first at 4.50
22:00 – Real Sociedad (3.85) v Real Madrid (1.86)
After finishing out of the top two in Spain over the last two years, Real Madrid look to be well on their way of changing that record this time around. With Eden Hazard now fully fit again, Los Blancos have no excuses in pushing Barcelona all the way. Madrid have the best away record in La Liga, and despite Sociedad pushing for a spot in Europe, they should grind out a win.
Suggested Bet: Real Madrid to win at 1.86
Value Bet: Real Madrid win and over 2.5 goals at 2.40
