With the first matchday of the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League done and dusted, we turn our focus to Europe’s big five leagues to make some extra cash. Here are 10 of our best bets for this weekend’s action.

West Ham v Manchester United (Sunday)

Manchester United travel to the London Stadium on Sunday to face West Ham United in the Premier League after a disappointing 1-1 draw in the Champions League. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will be expected to see off the Hammers with Cristiano Ronaldo spearheading the attack, while the east London side will be without the services of their leading talisman Michail Antonio following his red card against Southampton. The Red Devils completed the league double over David Moyes’ side last season and will be confident of coming away with three points.

Suggested bet: Manchester United to win
Value bet: Manchester United to win to zero

Brighton v Leicester City (Sunday)

Leicester City will be looking to return to winning ways when they face Brighton in the Premier League this weekend. The Foxes slumped to a 1-0 home defeat against Manchester City last Saturday, but Brendan Rodgers will be confident his team will bounce back strongly, having beaten Graham Potter’s side three times last season. Leicester is the favorite to win this game but Brighton won’t be pushovers, especially in their backyard.

Suggested bet: Leicester City to win
Value bet: Leicester City to win and both teams to score

Wolfsburg v Eintracht Frankfurt (Sunday)

High-flying Wolfsburg host Eintracht Frankfurt at the Volkswagen Arena in the Bundesliga on Sunday. It’s been a great start for the Saxon club who is led by former Bayern Munich midfielder Mark van Bommel. Sitting at the top of the pile, they are the only Bundesliga club to still hold a 100 percent record after winning all four of their matches. Their opponents Eintracht Frankfurt, meanwhile, are still searching for their first victory.

Suggested bet: Wolfsburg to win
Value bet: Wolfsburg to win to zero

Dortmund v Union Berlin (Saturday)

German powerhouse Borussia Dortmund will play host to Union Berlin on Sunday at the Signal Iduna Park, in Dortmund. Marco Rose’s side is seeking a third successive Bundesliga win, while the Iron Ones are still looking for a first win of the season. Unsurprisingly, Erling Haaland has begun the campaign electrically with five goals in four matches. Union Berlin picked up their first clean sheet in a 0-0 home draw against Augsburg last time out. But will they be able to keep Haaland quiet?

Suggested bet: Dortmund to win
Value bet: Haaland to score first

Juventus v AC Milan (Sunday)

Juventus host AC Milan in Serie A action on Sunday in one of the eye-catching fixtures of the weekend. The Turin-based outfit has suffered a poor start to the campaign, only picking up a single point from their first three matches as they sit in a lowly 16th position. Milan, meanwhile, has made the perfect start to the season, winning all three of their games and are behind leaders Roma only on goal difference. Max Allegri will be desperate to improve his team’s form, but it won’t be easy against the red-hot Rossoneri.

Suggested bet: Both teams to score
Value bet: AC Milan to win

Verona v Roma (Sunday)

Flying high at the top of the Serie A standings and looking to maintain their 100 percent winning start to the season, Jose Mourinho’s Roma side travel to the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi to take on Hellas Verona. The Giallorossi will head into the encounter oozing with confidence having won five of the last six meetings with the Yellow and Blues, while Tammy Abraham will hope to get on the scoresheet again.

Suggested bet: Roma to win
Value bet: Veretout to score anytime

Atletico Madrid v Athletic Bilbao (Sunday)

Atletico Madrid host Athletic Bilbao at the Wanda Metropolitano in La Liga on Sunday. Both sides will be hoping to keep their unbeaten start to the season intact, though Diego Simeone’s men will be expecting to win. The reigning Spanish league champions have won all four of their meetings with Bilbao at the Wanda Metropolitano and will look to build on that record.

Suggested bet: Atletico Madrid to win
Value bet: Atletico Madrid to win to zero

Valencia v Real Madrid (Sunday)

Real Madrid takes on Valencia in a top-of-the-table clash at the Mestalla Stadium in La Liga on Sunday. Both sides have made a fine start to the season with three wins and a draw from their first four matches, with Real leading the way on goal difference. Carlo Ancelotti’s side will look to in-form Karim Benzema to fire them to three points and maintain their position at the top of the table. The Frenchman, who netted a hat-trick in their 5-2 victory over Celta Vigo last weekend, has found the net in each of the last five La Liga meetings with Valencia, scoring six times.

Suggested bet: Both teams to score
Value bet: Benzema to score first

PSG v Lyon (Sunday)

Mauricio Pochettino’s star-studded PSG welcomes an in-form Lyon side to the Parc des Princes in Ligue 1 action on Sunday. The Parisians have a 100 percent start to the 2021/22 top-flight season, winning all five of their games. Peter Bosz’s men, meanwhile, have bounced back from a slow start to the campaign and will be aiming for a third straight victory. Lyon managed to cause an upset in this fixture last season, earning a 1-0 win. But can they stop the fearsome trio of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar?

Suggested bet: PSG to win
Value bet: PSG -1 handicap

Angers vs Nantes (Sunday)

Angers host Nantes in Ligue 1 action on Sunday at the Raymond-Kopa Stadium. The Black and Whites have made an unbeaten start to the campaign under new coach Gerald Baticle and currently sit in second place, having recorded three wins and two draws from their opening five outings. Nantes, meanwhile, find themselves in 14th place after three consecutive losses. Having failed to even score in those defeats, the Canaries will be desperate to stop the rot.

Suggested bet: Angers to win
Value bet: Angers to win to zero
