There is loads of football to look forward to once more as we preview 10 of our selected best bets to go into your weekend bet slips. Not just that, but we’ll also be offering our value bet in each tie as usual. With all that being said, let’s get down to business!
We cater for everybody here at BET Central, so let’s see what’s cooking on the menu this week:
Premier League
Wolves v Sheffield United (Saturday)
Wolves will be hoping to get closer to the top half of the Premier League table when they welcome bottom-placed Sheffield United to the Molineux Stadium. The hosts returned to winning ways last time out when they faced fellow relegation candidates, Fulham, humbling the Cottagers 1-0 in London. Sheffield United, as mentioned, are last on the log, and have lost their last four league matches.
Value Bet: Wolves to win to zero
Arsenal v Fulham (Sunday)
Mikel Arteta’s first full season at Arsenal hasn’t quite gone to plan with the Gunners languishing in ninth spot in the Premier League table with seven games remaining. Arsenal are struggling to qualify for Europe next season and will need to get maximum points. Their opponents, Fulham, are six points deep in the relegation zone and are on a four-game losing streak. Arsenal will fancy their chances of seeing off Scott Parker’s side, having won the last six meetings against the Cottagers.
Value Bet: Arsenal to win and BTTS
Serie A
Atalanta v Juventus (Sunday)
In one of the most fascinating spectacles of the weekend, Atalanta host Juventus in the Italian Serie A as both football giants look to close the gap on the Milan clubs. Atalanta are a point behind the Old Lady and have won their last four league games in succession. Juventus have been involved in a few goal-fest thrillers in their past couple of matches, and with Cristiano Ronaldo in their squad, who is the league’s top scorer, more goals could be on the horizon.
Lazio v Benevento (Sunday)
Lazio still have a European spot in mind when they go in search of yet another league victory when they take on Benevento. The hosts are currently on a four-game winning run in Serie A, winning all of those ties exactly by a one-goal margin. Benevento have won just one of their last 14 league matches, however, that sole victory did come over Juventus, so the visitors will be confident of holding their own against the country’s big guns.
Value Bet: Lazio to win by one goal margin
Bundesliga
Wolfsburg v Bayern Munich (Saturday)
Bayern Munich will be determined to bounce back strongly after their exit from the UEFA Champions League at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain. Speaking of Europe’s elite club competition, Wolfsburg are on course to secure a spot in next season’s edition as they sit third in the Bundesliga, eight points ahead of fifth-placed Borussia Dortmund. The Wolves will be eyeing an upset on Saturday but their record against the Bavarians doesn’t bode well. Bayern have won on each of their last five trips to the Volkswagen Arena, scoring 17 goals, while conceding just twice.
Suggested Bet: Bayern Munich to win
Value Bet: Bayern Munich -1 handicap
Monchengladbach v Eintracht Frankfurt (Saturday)
Eintracht Frankfurt haven’t booked their place in the UEFA Champions League just yet and would still be gunning for all three points in this Saturday’s game against Monchengladbach. The visitors are in fourth-place with 53 points and will feel that they will need at least two more wins to secure their place, having been seven points clear from fifth-placed Borussia Dortmund. Gladbach can still qualify for the Europa League, though it would mean they have to win all their remaining matches to stand a chance. With so much still on the line, perhaps this could be full of fireworks.
La Liga
Getafe v Real Madrid (Sunday)
Real Madrid are on the ultimate high as they look to build on from their impressive week, where they beat Barcelona in the El Clasico on the weekend, before dumping Liverpool out of the UEFA Champions League. Los Blancos have now won four successive league ties and have reduced the deficit between themselves and log-leaders, Atletico Madrid, to just two points. Getafe, on the other hand, are winless in five La Liga encounters.
Suggested Bet: Real Madrid to win
Value Bet: Real Madrid to win both halves
Atletico Madrid v Eibar (Sunday)
Atletico Madrid have endured a rocky couple of weeks as their lead at the top of the La Liga standings is now just two points over Real Madrid after a run of victory in their past four matches. Atletico have, however, managed to remain tough to beat, losing just one of their last seven games in what was their worst run of form all season. They now face Eibar, who are bottom of the table and have won just four of their 30 matchups this term.
Suggested Bet: Atletico Madrid to win
Ligue 1
Lille v Montpellier (Friday)
Lille can go one step closer to winning the French Ligue 1 this Friday when they take on Montpellier. The hosts last won the league in 2010/11, where they had a young Eden Hazard shining in their colours. Now, being three points clear with just six games to go gives Lille a strong chance of earning silverware again. Montpellier are unbeaten in 10 league matches, but have won just four times in that run.
Value Bet: Lille to win to zero
Dijon v Nice (Sunday)
One of Europe’s most poorly performing teams take the stage this weekend as Dijon look to end their dismal run of form when they host Nice. Dijon are last on the log and have no realistic chance of staying in the top flight next season. They’re yet to win a single game at home this term and have scored just five times in 16 ties at their turf. Nice are unbeaten in their last six league encounters, winning four times in that period.
Value Bet: Nice to win to zero
