10 Matches Value Bets

It’s that time of the week again when we run through a selection of the most exciting matches taking place this weekend and offer our best bets and value picks.

Arsenal v Bournemouth (Saturday)

Arsenal continued their winning streak in midweek to move five points clear at the top of the Premier League standings. The Gunners also became the only team to have two players with double figures with Gabriel Martinelli on 11 goals, while Bukayo Saka has 10. Bournemouth lie deep in the relegation zone and have the worst defensive record in the league.

Suggested bet: Arsenal to win
Value bet: Bukayo Saka to score first

Manchester City v Newcastle United (Saturday)

Manchester City return to the Etihad Stadium after a run of five successive away games across all competitions. Pep Guardiola’s men are the highest scorers in the Premier League and come up against the league’s best defensive unit in Newcastle, who have shipped in just 15 goals. City, themselves, haven’t kept a clean sheet in five league outings.

Suggested bet: Man City to win
Value bet: Man City to win and both teams score

Mallorca v Elche (Saturday)

Mallorca have the most favourable fixture in the Spanish LaLiga as they entertain bottom-placed Elche this weekend. The hosts have won their last four matches in a row on home soil, beating the likes of Villarreal and Real Madrid in that run. Elche are the only team yet to win on the road this term and have just nine points to their name in total.

Suggested bet: Mallorca to win
Value bet: Mallorca to win to zero

Barcelona v Valencia (Sunday)

LaLiga leaders Barcelona will be looking to return to winning ways after suffering a shock 1-0 defeat at Almeria last weekend. Prior to that, the Catalans had won seven successive encounters in the division and currently boast a seven-point lead atop the standings. Valencia are in the relegation zone and have just one win away from their turf this season.

Suggested bet: Barcelona to win
Value bet: Barcelona to score in both halves

Inter Milan v Lecce (Sunday)

Inter Milan seek a return to winning ways after their cross-town rivals, AC Milan, moved level on points with them after a surprise defeat at Bologna. On home soil, Inter have won seven of their last eight ties and with the chasing pack breathing down their necks, victory on Sunday is non-negotiable. Lecce dropped down to 15th place in the table after their loss at home to Sassuolo last weekend.

Suggested bet: Inter Milan to win
Value bet: Inter Milan -1 handicap

Roma v Juventus (Sunday)

Juventus’ point deduction earlier on in the season seems to have motivated them as they stretched their winning streak to four matches last time out. They’re 10 points off the top four, and if they continue on this upward trajectory, the Old Lady could make an appearance in next season’s UEFA Champions League. Roma dropped out of the top four last weekend and lost against relegation-bound Cremonese.

Suggested bet: Juventus to win or draw
Value bet: Juventus to win

Mainz v Hoffenheim (Saturday)

Mainz look to have turned the corner and are finding some comfort in the top half of the table. The hosts have won four of their last five league games, including the last three in succession. Meanwhile, Hoffenheim’s last victory came long before the FIFA World Cup break with the visitors now riding a winless run of 12 league matches, losing their last five on the bounce.

Suggested bet: Mainz to win
Value bet: Mainz to win to zero

Stuttgart v Bayern Munich (Saturday)

Stuttgart seem to be enduring a terrible run of form recently, winning just one of their last eight fixtures. They’ve also lost four of their last five matches and are level on points with Bochum, who are second from bottom and in the relegation zone. Bayern Munich have made this title race a much closer one than in previous years, but not much has changed in terms of the number of goals they seem to be scoring, finding the back of the net on 64 occasions in 22 encounters.

Suggested bet: Over 2.5 goals
Value bet: Bayern Munich to score over 2.5 goals

PSG v Nantes (Saturday)

Runaway French leaders, PSG, aim for a third successive victory when they take on Nantes on home soil this Saturday. They do, however, have a crunch UEFA Champions League tie with Bayern Munich a few days later so play cautiously here. Nantes were dumped out of the Europa League a fortnight ago and find themselves in the bottom half of the French league.

Suggested bet: PSG to win
Value bet: PSG to win and both teams score

Feyenoord v Groningen (Saturday)

Feyenoord face Groningen this Saturday with both teams competing at opposite ends of the table. The home team are three points clear at the top of the standings in the Dutch Eredivisie, while the visitors find themselves in the relegation zone. Feyenoord are undefeated at their turf and should make easy pickings of their opponents.

Suggested bet: Feyenoord to win
Value bet: Feyenoord to win both halves
