Before we head into the last international break of the year, let’s see if we can make some extra cash betting on the most exciting and entertaining leagues in Europe. Here are our 10 best bets and value picks for the weekend.

Brentford v Norwich (Saturday)

Brentford host Norwich in the battle of the two promoted sides on Saturday. The Bees have been the pick of the promoted sides so far this season, but their performances have dropped in recent weeks, with Thomas Frank’s side losing their last three matches. Fortunately for them, they have a good chance to stop the rot as the Canaries remain bottom of the log and winless.

Suggested bet: Brentford to win
Value bet: Brentford to win to zero

West Ham v Liverpool (Sunday)

Liverpool face a stern test this Sunday as they travel to the London Stadium to take on West Ham United. David Moyes’ side have been so impressive in the Premier League so far that an upset win over Jurgen Klopp’s men would see would see the Hammers leapfrog the Merseysiders in the table. The Reds, however, will fancy their chances of victory, having won their last two away matches against Watford and Manchester United, both by 5-0 scorelines.

Suggested bet: Liverpool to win
Value bet: Liverpool to win and both teams score

Celta Vigo v Barcelona (Saturday)

Things aren’t looking too good for Barcelona at the moment. Two wins in eight league games have left the Catalans languishing in ninth, nine points adrift of leaders Real Sociedad. To make matters worse, star striker Sergio Aguero has been ruled out of action for at least three months as a result of a heart issue. The Blaugrana are in action against Celta Vigo at the Balaidos stadium this weekend. The Galician outfit are 14th in La Liga, having lost seven of their 12 matches.

Suggested bet: Barcelona to win
Value bet: Barcelona to win & over 2.5 goals

Villarreal v Getafe (Sunday)

Villarreal host Getafe on Sunday after their very convincing win against Young Boys. The hosts have gone four league matches without a win since beating Real Betis 2-0 at the beginning of October. The visitors meanwhile picked up their first win of the season in a 2-1 victory at home to Espanyol last weekend. The bottom of the table side has lost eight of their 12 matches.

Suggested bet: Villarreal to win
Value bet: Villarreal to win to zero

Bayern Munich v Freiburg (Saturday)

Bayern Munich face a potential banana skin when Freiburg come to the Allianz Arena on Saturday. Freiburg are enjoying a stellar start to the campaign, trailing Bayern by three points and find themselves just two points off Borussia Dortmund. The Breisgau Brazilians boast the tightest defence in the division, conceding seven times in 10 matches. That has them sitting pretty in third position, however, it will be severely put to the test at the home of the top goal scorers.

Suggested bet: Bayern Munich to win
Value bet: Bayern Munich to win and both teams score

Hertha Berlin v Bayer Leverkusen (Sunday)

Bayer Leverkusen travel to Hertha Berlin this weekend with Gerardo Seoane’s side desperate to end their poor run of form. The hosts, sitting in fourth, have gone five matches without a win in all competitions, losing three times – including a 2-1 home defeat to struggling second-division Karlsruhe in the German Cup. Meanwhile, the visitors, despite languishing in the bottom half in 12th place, have won three of their last four matches across all competitions.

Suggested bet: Both teams to score
Value bet: Leverkusen to win and both teams score

Venezia v Roma (Sunday)

Roma travel to newly-promoted Venezia in the first Serie A game on Sunday. The hosts have picked up just two wins from 11 matches and sit in 16th place. Their last home game was against 19th-placed Salernitana which ended in a 2-1 defeat. As for Roma, Jose Mourinho’s men beat Cagliari 2-1 in their last away match and currently find themselves fourth in the table.

Suggested bet: Roma to win
Value bet: Roma to win and over 2.5 goals

AC Milan v Inter Milan (Sunday)

The Derby della Madonnina takes centre stage in Serie A this Sunday evening. These opponents come off midweek UEFA Champions League group stage clashes where AC Milan hosted FC Porto while Inter Milan made the trip to Moldova to face FC Sheriff Tiraspol. A 4,200-kilometre round trip will definitely have a bearing on this clash for Inter. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has returned to fitness for the Rossoneri and scored twice in three league appearances, inflicting a 2-1 defeat to Jose Mourinho’s Roma last week Sunday.

Suggested bet: AC Milan to win
Value bet: AC Milan to win and over 2.5 goals

Reims v Monaco (Sunday)

Reims hover precariously above the relegation zone, suffering three defeats in four matches that have former Saint-Etienne manager Oscar Garcia feeling the pressure mount in his first season at the helm of the Red and Whites. Monaco, on the other hand, have been underwhelming in Ligue 1 but have excelled in the UEFA Europa League, and Nico Kovac will aim to transfer their European performances to their current league form.

Suggested bet: Monaco to win
Value bet: Monaco to win to zero

Nice v Montpellier (Sunday)

Head coach Christophe Galtier has been the signing of the season for Nice. After claiming the Ligue 1 title from the hands of Paris-Saint Germain last season with Lille, Galtier moved to the French Riviera and has now transformed Nice into a team capable of possibly launching a title pursuit. Their steady improvement is built on their unbeaten record on home soil, claiming three wins and showing character in gritty performances when Monaco (2-2) and Marseille (1-1) came to town. The hosts won this exact same tie 3-1 back in April.

Suggested bet: Nice to win
Value bet: Nice to win and both teams score
