Springboks Name 26-Man Training Squad

The Springboks will begin their preparations for the end-of-year tour to the Northern Hemisphere this Sunday with a three-day training camp in Stellenbosch. Jacques Nienaber has selected a 26-man training squad for this camp including Canan Moodie, who is recovering from a hamstring injury to allow the Springbok medical team to assess the extent of his injury.

The camp will end on Wednesday, 26 October, with some players set to return to their teams for United Rugby Championship.

The Springboks will play four Tests in four weeks next month, against Ireland, France, Italy and England on the Outgoing Tour.

An SA ‘A’ team will play two mid-week matches against Munster on the 10th of November and the Bristol Bears a week later on the 17th.
