The final full round of action in the Six Nations with the title on the line in the Wales v France match. We cover each match in the Six Nations this week with the best bets provided.
Scotland v Italy
Saturday 20 March – 16:15
Scotland come into this game on the back of a narrow defeat against Ireland last week and sit fifth in the table while Italy are bottom without yet registering a win. Scotland will be without Scott Cummings, Finn Russell and Jonny Gray through injury, they have also won their last five Six Nations encounters against Italy.
The Italians have lost 52 out of 54 away games in the Six Nations and will be hoping to improve their away form at Murrayfield tomorrow. I’ll back Italy on the plus here despite being hammered in recent week. I’m banking on Franco Smith rallying his troops to put up a fight although Scotland will win.
Ireland v England
Saturday 20 March – 18:45
England are coming off a good win against France last week, they have also won their last two matches against the hosts. Eddie Jones makes one change with Elliot Daily coming in at outside-centre for the injured Henry Slade. The Irish lost to France in their previous game and have not lost back-to-back Six Nations home games since 2010, Jacob Stockdale has been named in the Ireland team with Conor Murray also included at scrum-half alongside captain Johnny Sexton. Both teams have had disappointing tournaments and will be looking to end their Six Nations campaigns on a high. This is a tough one to call so I’ll go with Ireland on the plus as well.
Best Bet: Ireland +3.5 at 1.80
France v Wales
Sunday 20 March – 22:00
The Welsh will be eying their second Grand Slam in three years, they have made one change for Saturday’s game with Adam Beard returning to the starting XV. They will be looking to win a sixth title, only England have won more championships (seven). They are coming off a convincing win against Italy last week and will be confident of beating the French. France on the other hand lost to England in the previous round and will be looking for an immediate reaction, Fabien Galthie has named an unchanged XV for this game. They have won 2 of their last nine games against Wales in the Six Nations and will be hoping to improve that record.
