Olympic Betting Tips

Olympic season is officially open and there is so much action coming at us from all angles that it is difficult to choose which events to bet on.

On Saturday, there are three in particular in Tokyo that we will have our eyes on.

Women’s Football: China v Zambia

Zambia tend to be stronger on attack than defence and their 10-3 defeat to the Netherlands in their opening fixture was a sign that this trend is likely to continue.

Barbra Banda scored a hat-trick, and having scored 18 goals at club level in China over the past league season, it is likely that she will net against their national team. However, Zambia’s defence needs serious work.

Best Tip: BTTS Yes

Men’s Swimming: 400m Individual medley

Daiya Seto, who has won three of the last four world titles in this event, is the clear favourite to win gold.

Kosuke Hagino, the current Olympic champion, opted not to defend his title, so it is up to Seto to bring home gold for his home country. It is unlikely that he will disappoint.

Best Tip: Daiya Seto Gold Medal

Women’s Football: Sweden v Australia

After their 3-0 win over world champions the USA, Sweden look like one of the teams to beat at the Olympics.

Australia do have the mighty Sam Kerr upfront and she was instrumental in their 2-1 win over New Zealand, but their team is not packed with quite the same quality as the Swedes, who barely gave the USWNT a look at goal in a one-sided encounter.

Best Tip: Sweden To Win
