The World Rugby Sevens Series 2018/2019 ignites this weekend with the traditional first tournament of the series taking place in Dubai and followed up a week later by the hugely popular Cape Town Sevens tournament.

The Blitzbokke are going for an incredible third series win on the trot, but face stiff competition in the shape of Fiji and New Zealand – the two other traditional Sevens powerhouses.

Ten cities play host this season that runs from this weekend through to June 2019 with the tournaments played in the now familiar two-week back-to-back format.
