5: Teboho Mokwena

The Mamelodi Sundowns maestro has 319k followers on Instagram, making him among the most followed South African football players. Kokwena has partnered with brands such as Nivea for men due to his followership and has just extended his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Despite attracting interest in Europe, North Africa, and the Gulf region, the 2023 PSL Footballer of the Year has put pen to paper on a new long-term deal to keep him at the club beyond June 2026.

4: Bongani Zungu

Zungu is sitting number four on the list, with 486k followers. The most decorated midfielder made a shocking revelation last month on Instagram when he told his followers that he’s leaving Mamelodi Sundowns.

Zungu left Sundowns due to his contract not being renewed by the club, making him a free agent.
