You’ll be glad to hear BET Central survived the storms in Cape Town with only minor flooding. The good news is our putting green was unaffected so the mood remains high as we face a new week.

It was definitely a case of youth triumphing over experience this week with 24-year-old Thathe Msimango, in his first BET Central piece, predicting two out of two results in the MTN8 Cup.

Thathe even called an exact score with the 1-0 in the Cape Town City game and picked the draw in the Chiefs game. Solid predicting. We’ll be keeping an eye on his stuff that’s for sure.

Recently I was trying to get my head around these newfangled Instagram stories from some of the youngsters here at BET Central.

“The feed is dead. Stories is where its at.” I was reliably informed before being hit with the pitying look you give your uncle when he asks help with his “Whats Up?”

I might still be a bit of an Uncle and not quite understand exactly what’s going on there, but I do know that the team are pushing out some brilliant betting stories there.
