Kenilworth Horse Racing Betting Tips – 9 June 2020
Racing was given the all-clear from the South African government last Thursday following the decision to reduce the status of the Covid-19 lockdown from Level 4 to Level 3, which allows for the opening of non-contact sports.
Today, we have some quick picks to get you started with your punting.
Kenilworth – Race 2 – 12:30
Elusive Tango improved when fitted with blinkers and finished second in his last trip t the Cape. Lead Singer ran on well from a long way back in that race and need only overcome a wide draw to contest the outcome. Captain Zee finished on the heels of that pair and the addition of blinkers ought to bring about further improvement. Morse, Nixon and Pannington could have a say too if overcoming wide draws. Anecdote can also earn. Include likely improver What a Man.
4 – Lead Singer
9 – Captain Zee
6 – Pannington
8 – What A Man
Kenilworth – Race 5 – 14:20
Erik The Red sets a high standard in this small field and will take some beating. Stable companion Jet Dark and fellow debut winner Matthew The King could be anything but both need to raise their games to trouble the selection, nevermind remain unbeaten. FREEDOM PARK is another representative of the Marshall-Byleveld-Truter triumvirate, so could definitely be a threat.
1 – Erik The Red
5 – Freedom Park
2 – Jet Dark
3 – Matthew The King
Kenilworth – Race 7 – 15:30
Sailing Ship made light work of her rivals a 1600m feature last time and on that evidence should be competitive in this. However, she was well adrift (from a wide draw) of Drama Queen in a course-and-distance. Phil’s Dancer tries the trip for the first time but cannot be discounted given the strength and consistency of her form (1000-1400m). Sing Out Loud fits a similar profile so must also be considered too. Flame Tree, Quickstep Lady and Rewrite Stars could get a look in. Progressive Springisintheair has earning potential.
2 – Drama Queen
8 – Springisintheair
6 – Quickstep Lady
4 – Phil’s Dancer
