Horse Racing Tips: Princess Calla to Return to Winning Ways Under Fourie

There’s plenty of fascinating horse racing feature action to look forward to this weekend from Turffontein and Scottsville.

Horse Racing at Kenilworth racecourse

There’s plenty of fascinating horse racing feature action to look forward to this weekend from Durbanville, Turffontein, and Scottsville.

Turffontein (Saturday)

Race 1 – Sheela

Sheela loves this course and distance and has been in the consistent form before going on a break. She gets to draw 1 with S’manga Khumalo in the irons and the pair should be very hard to beat in the run down to the line. She does come off a short break but that shouldn’t affect her at all in this contest.

Race 2 – Mo The Man

Mo The Man has been a consistent sort, he looks to have met the right type of field in this contest and that should see him in the winner’s enclosure. He gets the most in-form jockey in the country in the irons here in the form of Keagan de Melo and the pair should really take the power of beating.

Race 4 – Desert Miracle

Desert Miracle made the impossible possible when she defeated the great Captain’s Ransom on the met day, with the form of that run under the belt she should be exceptionally hard to beat in this contest. This should be the banker of the day to start the Pick 6.

Durbanville (Saturday)

Race 1 – Speeding Bullet

Speeding Bullet has great form over the 1000m trip and with Grant van Niekerk in the irons from draw 1, he should very hard to beat in the run down to the line. The only danger has been looked to be Blue Holly from the Glen Kotzen stable.

Race 3 – Apple Catcher

Apple Catcher has had two very positive runs, and with Sean Veale back regaining the ride the pair should be very hard to beat in the run down to the line. He gets the added benefit of a good draw of three and the pair looks to be the best bet of the day in this contest.

Race 8 – Beerenberg

Beerenberg has an explosive turn of foot and always picks them up one by one in the closing stages, if they go a good pace, he should leave this field stone cold in the run down to the line.

Scottsville (Saturday)

Race 4 – Maddison Blue

Keagan de Melo brings Maddison Blues into this contest with fantastic Cape Form and from a good inside draw of 4, this looks to be the banker of the day in the Pick 6. He should take nicely to the Scottsville mile and should be able to win this quite comfortably.

Race 7 – Twice Golden

Twice Golden is as good as a race course expert as there ever will be, he never runs a bad race at this course and after losing in the final stride last time out, he should make amends here with apprentice Sipesihle Hlengwa in the irons.
