Greyville Horse Racing Betting Tips – 1 June 2020
South African horseracing is back in action today with a 10-race meeting on the Greyville Polytrack in Durban.
Racing was given the all-clear from the South African government last Thursday following the decision to reduce the status of the Covid-19 lockdown from Level 4 to Level 3, which allows for the opening of non-contact sports.
There’s a full programme for horseracing fans to look forward to over the next few weeks. The meeting on Tuesday 2 June will be at the Vaal on the Highveld, followed by Kenilworth in Cape Town on Wednesday, Vaal again on Thursday and Friday at Fairview in Port Elizabeth.
Today, we have some quick picks to get you started with your punting.
Greyville – Race 1 – 11:30
Cape gelding Thomas Henry brings encouraging form to Greyville. He jumps from a wide draw on the poly first time but should be hard to beat. Older horse Nikhils Inn will be a tough contender having finished close up last two. Hardwired and Green Phantom can improve.
8- Thomas Henry
10 – Nikhils Inn
7 – Hardwired
12 – Green Phantom
Greyville Race 7 – 14:55
Walterthepeniless may have dropped to a comfortable rating now and he has a decent enough draw but needs to jump on terms. FARLAND needs things to go his way as well and if they do he can finally add another win to his tally. The break would have done him good. Two of Us brings Highveld form into it-watch him. Let’s Blaze and Galway must have chances as well.
5 – Walterthepenniless
2 – Farland
1 – Two Of Us
3 – Let’s Blaze
