Durban July 2020 Final Field

The final field of 18 runners to face off in the 2020 Durban July on 25 July 2020 have been announced.

Gold Circle held their usual annual final field announcement ahead of the prestigious race. This year’s race is being held on 25 July 2020 at 15:10 behind closed doors at Greyville Racecourse in Durban. This year’s race sees some notable absentees, most significantly Hawwaam, who has finally set off for greener pastures abroad. Nonetheless we’re going to have an epic race this year, with a lot of Durban July debutants in the running to upset the veterans. Here is your Durban July 2020 Final Field:

We already have odds up for the big race, check out our Durban July 2020 Race 7 betting markets below.

The field looks to be split down the middle with big names like reigning Do It Again looking for a rare July treble, Rainbow Bridge, Vardy and Soqrat representing proven value at this level. The other half sees heavily fancied debutants like current favourite Belgarion, SA Classic winner Got The Greenlight and Shango. This mix up means that contenders will be spread across the track in draw, age and merit ratings, making the 2020 edition of the Durban July a fascinating one.
