WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational 2020 Betting Preview

There is a very strong field PGA Tour WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational 2020 but there’ll be with a slightly different format. It will feature 45 of the top 50 players in the world, including newly crowned No. 1 golfer, Jon Rahm. With it being a WGC, there’s no cut.

This is a very short field with only 78 players at TPC Southwind, which has hosted a tour event since 1989 before being upgraded to a WGC event last year. Brooks Koepka will come in looking to defend last year’s title as he took the lead from Rory McIlroy in Sunday’s final pairing.

John Rahm at 11.00

The newly minted world number one is your bookies favourite.

Rory McIlroy at 12.00

McIlroy is no longer the No. 1 player in the world, for the first time since February but don’t let that affect your thinking he has just been a touch unlucky since the restart. He’s finished inside the top five in four consecutive WGC events and has only one finish worse than 11th in his past 13 WGC starts. The Irishman stands up when surrounded by the best of the best.

Justin Thomas at 13.00

JT is probably can erratic than his elite competitors but counting in his favour is his three top-10 finishes in his past five starts.

Daniel Berger at 26.00

Daniel Berger’s won back to back FedEx St. Jude tournaments in 2016 and 2017 at TPC Southwind before a wrist injury curtailed a promising career. Berger has managed top-10 finishes in five of the past six events including a win at the Charles Schwab.

Brooks Koepka at 29.00

Koepka is the defending champion but he has not won anything since this event last year due to a nagging knee injury. But perhaps it is his week to announce his comeback at an event and course that has brought much success.

Tommy Fleetwood at 34.00

Fleetwood missed the cut in last week’s PGA event but Tommy has the ability to bounce back and make at big impact at TPC Southwind. He’s also a great value at this price.
