Formula 1: When All The Teams Will Launch Their 2024 Cars

February is traditionally known as the month of love, but it’s also Formula 1’s launch season time.

The F1 news cycle has been pedaling hard in recent weeks. Haas replaced Guenther Steiner after a decade as team principal and Charles Leclerc penned a new deal that will keep him at Ferrari for “several more seasons”.

The even better news is that all 10 teams have confirmed when their 2024 cars will be unveiled. Some teams will opt to show their 2024 challengers with this year’s livery and not divulge the car’s design and aerodynamic setup.

We’ll get a much clearer understanding of what approach the teams have made at pre-season testing in Bahrain set to take place from February 21 – 23.

According to Race.com, the 2024 cars are the third iteration under the sport’s current regulations cycle. A new set of regulations will come into effect for the 2026 season.

These are when the teams will launch their cars:

Stake – Formerly known as Alfa Romeo, Stake will show off their car on February 5. From 2026, however, the Stake branding will fall away as the Audi works team enters the fray.

Williams – Another team that will show off their challenger on February 5 is Williams. Team principal James Vowles who moved from Mercedes last year, helped the team to achieve seventh position in the constructors’ championship.

Alpine – We’re amped for Alpine’s new car set to be launched on February 7, dubbed the A524, as it’s likely to be the real deal and not the 2023 car wrapped in this year’s livery.

Visa Cash App RB – The second Red Bull team announced a new sponsorship with Visa and Cash App. They’ll show off their new car on February 8 in Las Vegas.

Haas – There’s a new era at Haas after the team announced Ayao Komatsu as its new team principal. According to reports the car launch on February 11 might be a virtual one based on what the American team has done in the past.

Aston Martin – Set to be unveiled on February 12, it’s unclear whether Aston Martin will reveal all their cards at the launch. What we do know is that Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso will drive the AMR24.

McLaren – The team that finished fourth in last season’s constructors’ championship has already unveiled its 2024 livery. We’ll get to see a launch-spec MCL38 on February 14, the finished version making its way to Bahrain for pre-season testing.

Mercedes – Called the W15, Mercedes will conduct a digital launch event on February 14. The German team usually has a shakedown of the ‘new’ car at Silverstone following the unveiling.

Red Bull – The 2023 champions will have its season launch on February 15, and we’ll get to see the new livery (which will include Visa), but it’s unlikely the team will show off the actual design. The energy drink team has opted to use a show car for previous launches, and we suspect it may do the same in 2024.
