West Indies v Australia Fourth T20I: 3 Bets to Take

West Indies v Australia Fourth T20I: 3 Bets to Take – Aaron Finch’s men will be looking to restore some pride after lacklustre performances in the first three matches.

West Indies Australia Betting

The West Indies take on Australia in the 4th T20I in the early hours of the morning. A Chris Gayle inspired performance saw the side from the Caribbean claim a series win after beating Australia by 6 wickets in the previous T20I. Aaron Finch’s men will be looking to restore some pride after lacklustre performances in the first three matches.

Let’s take a look at the three bets to take at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.

Hayden Walsh Jr

The West Indian spinners are averaging just 12.67 with the ball in this series at an economy rate of 6.25. This is due to the form of Walsh Jr and Fabian Allen and the Australian team’s struggles against spin in the middle overs. The West Indies’ spinners, which included one over from Gayle, did not concede a single six in the previous match. Walsh Jr has already taken eight wickets in this series and will be looking to continue with his impressive form.

Suggested Bet: Walsh Jr to be WI’s top bowler 4.50

Chris Gayle and Andre Russell

In the previous T20I, Gayle scored his first T20I half-century since 2016, top-scoring with 67. It was a dominant performance from the ‘Universe Boss’ who hit seven sixes in his innings. Another player who’s found some form with the bat in this series is Andre Russell, who recently recorded his first T20I half-century for the West Indies. He hit five sixes on his way to scoring 51 of 28 balls in the first T20I.  Chris Gayle owns three out of the five highest individual scores in AUS v WI T20Is, with two being the only two scores of at least 70 runs. I wouldn’t be surprised if he adds to this impressive record with another dominant display with the bat.

Suggested Bet: Gayle & Russell to hit 8 or more 6’s combined 5.50

Matthew Wade

The struggle for the majority of Australia’s innings in the third T20I is highlighted by the fact that they had a useful 41 off the first five overs. That was largely down to Matthew Wade who again struck the ball sweetly as he did in the opening match of the series. However, with some of the issues being faced by other batters, The Aussies need him to make the most of these starts and kick on. With Justin Langer’s side looking to avoid a series whitewash, Wade will be keen to convert his impressive starts into big scores.

Suggested Bet: Wade to be Australia’s top batsman 4.35

Alternative Bet: Wade to score 50+ runs 4.80
