After helping England to an emphatic 267-run victory over New Zealand last week, James Anderson has overtaken Pat Cummins to become the No.1 ranked bowler on the latest ICC Men’s Test Rankings. At the age of 40 years and 207 days, Anderson is also the oldest player to top the rankings since Australian legspinner Clarrie Grimmett, in 1936.

He’s played an integral part in the recent success of England’s Test team, which has now won 10 of its last 11 matches.
