IPL 2020: Match 37- CSK vs RR Preview, Prediction, Probable Playing XI and Value bets.
Betting Preview
Two teams struggling to find their rhythm and hoping to keep their chances alive face off in the 37th game of Dream 11 IPL as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Abu Dhabi. Both the teams have managed to win only three of their respective 9 games and have a very poor NRR, thus, making this clash a must win game for either of the sides.
Apart from some moments of individual brilliance, the CSK camp haven’t had much to celebrate as they have failed to click as a unit again and again. Spin bowling, that once was their strength, has failed miserably this season and Chennai has struggled to find the right team balance. Sam Curran has been a revelation for the side as he has delivered both with the bat and the ball and has inspired the side to play with an intent that was missing in the first half of the tournament.
Faf du Plessis has been tremendous with the bat throughout the season but has very little support from the other end. Only Shane Watson has looked good sporadically whereas Ravindra Jadeja has come up with some good all-round performances with both bat and ball. Chennai comes into the game after losing a close game against Delhi Capitals. An injured Bravo only adds on to Chennai’s woes. The three-time champions will look to get their act together and leave no stones unturned to keep their chances of qualification alive.
Starting their campaign with two consecutive wins and losing the momentum shortly after that, RR has been one of the most unpredictable sides this season as they have lost matches after looking in command for the majority of the duration and even clinched victory from the jaws of defeat on multiple occasions. Ben Stokes still looks uncomfortable opening and demoting Butler down the order when he has consistently performed as an opener hasn’t made much sense.
Steve Smith, who had looked a bit off-coloured has finally found his touch and is as elegant and majestic as ever. Rajasthan’s position on the points table hardly does justice to the kind of cricket they have played so far. Jofra Archer has been exceptionally sensational and most batsmen do not have an answer to his pace. On paper, Rajasthan looks a balanced side with most bases covered and they need to click together as a unit to stand a fighting chance to make it to the play-offs.

Key Players to watch out for
Jofra Archer: Archer has been sensational this season for the Royals hitting the deck hard and giving his side early breakthroughs in the powerplay. He has great control over his line and length even while bowling deliveries over145kph effortlessly. He has picked up 12 wickets in his nine games and has contributed with the bat by hitting some hard sixes in the back end of the innings.
Sam Curran: This English all-rounder is proving out to be a trump card for CSK with him delivering exceptionally in all three departments. He has been Chennai’s highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 10 wickets in nine games. With the bat, he has shown that he can hit big shots when the situation demands and after being promoted as an opener his quick-fire 31 helped CSK get to a solid start.
Faf du Plessis: CSK’s most consistent batsman this season, du Plessis has scored 365 runs in 9 games at an average of 52.14. He is the only player in the side who has shown some positive intent and brought CSK close to winning a lot of matches single-handedly. He bats through most of Chennai’s innings without giving his wicket away and can dominate any bowling attack on a given day. He is the third-highest run-scorer in the tournament behind KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal.
