Delhi Capitals (DC) will be up against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match 30 of the IPL. These are two teams with contrasting results in their respective last games. DC lost to Mumbai Indians while RR pulled off a superb win over Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Delhi have been in good form this season and have won five out of their seven games. However, they lost to Mumbai in their last match but they will be happy with the fight they put up. Despite losing two of their frontline players (Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer), they did well to take the game to the final over. Delhi’s batting lacks some firepower in the middle in the absence of Pant and Hetmyer, they need the top-order gets off to a flier. The South African duo of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje have been the heart of DC’s bowling attack alongside spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel.

On the other hand, RR pulled off another heist and this time against Hyderabad. Rahul Tewatia had some company in the form of Riyan Parag to register a marvellous win. However, the inaugural IPL champions haven’t been at their best and must start producing consistent performances. The big guns like Jos Buttler, Steve Smith, Ben Stokes and Sanju Samson desperately need to start delivering again.

Amit Mishra and Ishant Sharma have been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. Moreover, Rishabh Pant will miss the upcoming games and will be on the bench for at least one week due to a hamstring injury.

Key Players to watch out for

Shreyas Iyer: The Delhi Capitals skipper has been in very good form this season. Despite scoring just one fifty, Iyer has amassed 245 runs this season at a strike-rate of 138.41. In the absence of Pant and Hetmyer, the onus will be on Iyer to shoulder a larger responsibility with the bat.

Rahul Tewatia: The Haryana leg-spinning all-rounder has been a revelation for RR this season. Tewatia has been the match-winner for them and has been brilliant all-round. He has scored 189 runs at a strike-rate of 152.41 and has picked up five wickets as well.

Ben Stokes: The premier England all-rounder finally made his first appearance of the 2020 IPL season. However, he was eased back into the XI as he bowled just one over. But he opened the batting but failed. Hence, it’ll be interesting to see how Stokes goes in the coming games and keep a close eye on him.
