With five wins in their last seven games, the Sunrisers have moved into the top four, eyeing a top-two finish for a significant playoff advantage. They’re looking to surpass last season’s three away wins before returning home for a series of games, potentially securing a strong playoff position. This stretch is crucial for Hyderabad as they aim to end their longest playoff drought in three seasons.

Players to Watch: Mumbai fast bowler Gerald Coetzee copped a hiding in Hyderabad earlier this season, finishing with an unenviable return of 1/57. Having finished with 0/1 wickets in four of his first five home appearances of this season, there’s not much to suggest he’s in for a considerably better time here.

Sunrisers’ then-record score of 277/3 against Mumbai in that game saw three half-centuries at strike rates of 235+, one of which came from opener Abhishek Sharma. Abhishek has been consistent away from home if nothing else, being dismissed for 16-34 runs in five of his six away innings and making 46 against Delhi in the other.
