Royal Challengers Bangalore will be hoping to keep their playoff hopes alive when they face the Gujarat Titans at the Wankhede Stadium this afternoon. The equation for RCB is simple. Win against Gujarat Titans today and hope Delhi Capitals lose to Mumbai Indians on Saturday.

Betting Preview
To beat Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers may need one of their big three – Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell to play a big innings. I expect the skipper to produce the goods for his side in this big game with him being RCB’s leading runscorer this season. They will also hope for Josh Hazlewood to come back strongly after having figures of 4-0-64-0 against Punjab Kings in their previous game.
The Royal Challengers have had a season of two halves. They started well, winning five of their first seven matches but have won only two of their last six. With one match remaining, RCB need to beat Gujarat to leapfrog Delhi Capitals and move into playoff position. Their campaign has been hampered by significant losses, which have decimated their net run rate, meaning that if Delhi win their upcoming match against Mumbai, RCB will not qualify for the playoffs.
Titans, meanwhile, are already assured of a top-of-the-table finish in the league stage. They had a bit of a wobble with back-to-back defeats at the start of the month, but Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha gave them strong starts and with Hardik Pandya resuming bowling duties, they have notched up back-to-back wins.
The secret to the success of Gujarat so far this season has been the spread of match winners; six of their batters currently average more than 30, and six of their bowlers have an economy rate of less than seven per over. Unlike many other successful teams, Gujarat have scored slowly, being ranked seventh on the metric of run-rate scoring at 8.40 runs per over. While the batting has been slow, the bowling has been dominant, with Rashid Khan (16), Mohammed Shami (18) and Lokie Ferguson (12) all taking over ten wickets.
RCB have been playing poorly recently with their key players not performing well. I’m backing Gujarat Titans to get the win and end their season on a high.
