IPL 2022: Best XI So Far. Bet Central and Ongama Gcwabe pick an exciting XI from the first half of the IPL.

T20 World Cup Betting

Over thirty matches have been played already in the IPL 2022 and we’ve seen nothing short of top tier entertainment.

Bet Central and Ongama Gcwabe pick an exciting XI from the first half of the IPL.

We’re almost halfway through this year’s ten-team Indian Premier League. There have been some notable performances from experienced heads in Dinesh  Karthick and from youngsters like Dewald Brevis.

Let’s dig into the numbers and pick the Best XI in the tournament so far:

Jos Buttler (Royals)

Jos Buttler tops the run-scorers list after the first 30 matches and has been the most explosive and consistent batter in the competition so far. In the six innings he has played, he has scored two hundred and two fifties. Jos comfortably takes the opening spot.

KL Rahul (Giants)

Alongside Buttler is the classy Super Giant’s captain, KL Rahul, who has been impressive with the bat and his leadership on the field. Rahul sits second in the run for the orange cap with one big hundred next to his name. Rahul beats an in-form opener in Faf du Plessis to make our XI.

Shreyas Iyer (KKR)

The Knight Riders’ skipper walks into the number three position of our XI. His  236 runs in seven innings have not only gotten his team three wins so far but has earned him the third spot in the leading run-scorers list. His experience and consistency gets him in ahead of some impressive number three’s in Dewald  Brevis and Shevam Dube.

David Miller (Titans)

Miller’s unbeaten 94 is one of the best knocks in the IPL this season. He’s shown that he is not only a finisher but is an all-around full package. He takes the number four spot in our XI for his ability to take games away from the opposition.

Aiden Makram (Sunrisers)

The talented South African has been in good form in T20 cricket in the last while.  He has hit the ground running this season with match-winning knocks and a few monster hits. He slots in at five in our team and will bring muscle and a watchful eye if and when needed.

Dinesh Karthick (wk) (RCB)

Dinesh Karthick has enjoyed his move to the Royal Challengers Bangalore team.  Between him and another new signing in Faf du Plessis, he has exceeded expectations with his performances with the bat. He has rescued the RCB batting lineup time and time again. He takes the number six position and also will be our gloveman.

Hardik Pandya (Titans)

Probably one of the biggest shocks at the IPL Auction was the release of Hardik  Pandya by the Mumbai Indians team. Now, captain of the new Gujarat Titans team, Pandya has performed well with both bat and ball. He’s fifth on the top run-scorers list and has gotten back to the 140s (KPH) with the ball. He takes the number seven spot.

Sunil Narine (KKR)

At eight is Knight Riders’ spinner, Sunil Narine. Powerful batters like Jos Buttler have kept quite a watchful eye against Narine and his economy rate of 5.03  proves his prowess as far as keeping batters quiet. He can also float up and down the batting order as we have seen him do so for many years. Sunil lengthens our batting and definitely strengthens our bowling lineup.

Umesh Yadav (KKR)

Umesh Yadav has been impressive with the new ball so far in the tournament.  He’s taken 10 wickets and has impressive match figures of 4-23. He will pair up with either Pandya or Narine with the new ball.

Kuldeep Yadav (Capitals)

The spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal complete our Dream XI. They have both been impressive and are in the top three on the top wicket-takers list with Chahal leading the bowler, while Yadav sits third with eleven wickets.

Yuzvendra Chahal (Royals)
