Betting Preview

The 19th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will take place between the two top teams of the 2021 edition, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Wankhede Stadium. The rivalry between these two teams is dominated by CSK with 16 wins out of 26 against RCB. However, RCB are unbeaten in IPL 2021 so far and will be favourites going into this game.

Chennai Super Kings, after losing their first game of the league, have bounced back remarkably and have won three matches on the trot. CSK’s batting has looked very formidable in the league so far with their improves intent or run-scoring. They have batted first three times and have put up scores over 180 in all three. 220-3 against KKR being their highest. Opener Ruturaj Gaikwad has found the form after a hattrick of low scores while Faf du Plessis has continued his good form with 60-ball-95 against KKR. Seamer Deepak Chahar finding his mojo and picking up wickets with the new ball is a great boost for CSK. However their bowling will be put under the test against a destructive batting unit of RCB.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have continued their dream IPL run, winning four matches out of four. RCB are currently sitting at the top of the table with 8 points and a healthy net run-rate. They have been the best batting unit in the league so far with Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers sharing the middle order duties. Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal have found the form against RR, where they put on an unbroken 181-run stand in 16.3 overs in which Padikkal scored a sublime 101* off 52 deliveries. RCB’s bowling has looked good with Mohammed Siraj and Kyle Jamieson doing a fine job while Harshal Patel continues to pick wickets in the death overs for fun. However, they will face a bigger test against Chennai Super Kings on a flat Wankhede pitch.
