The Phillies have been doubted since the beginning of the post-season but now they look like they could win the world series. Now here the Padres start Blake Snell and he lost twice when he faced the Phillies during the regular season. The Phillies will be starting Aaron Nola and he ended the season pretty well allowing 1 run in three games. During the playoffs, the pitchers are different, yes, but the Phillies have an excellent bullpen, I expect them to either win or cover the spread.

20 Oct 01:37 Houston Astros v New York Yankees

In their previous 3 post-season series the Astros have beaten the Yankees and last time it was a sweep. First game at home I have to back the Astros to win this one, an honourable mention is that they are the well-rested side between the two. In the whole of 2022, these two Franchises played against each other 7 times and the Astros came out in the top 5 times. Both starting pitchers last appearances ended in a loss but we know Justin Verlander has more playoff experience plus he’s backed up by an excellent Astros defense. Yordan Alvarez has been as good as he was during the regular season, unlike Aaron Judge. The Astros have the necessary experience plus home advantage will work for them here.
