Another beautiful weekend of sport is complete, so the BET Central office selected the best moments of the weekend.

The Proteas Women remarkable form at the 2020 T20 World Cup in Australia has continued as they booked their spot in the semi-finals with one pool game to spare, that’s against the Windies on Tuesday.

The Proteas road to the semi begun with a shock win over England followed up by victory over Thailand and Pakistan.

The Proteas have never contested a World Cup final before in either the 50 over or 20 over formats.

The Springbok Sevens team scored twice in the last minute of one of the most dramatic finals ever to first force extra time and then claimed a sudden death try winner to beat Fiji 29-24.

This was the moment the @Blitzboks secured their second Cup win of the season in dramatic fashion.

A maiden ODI century for Heinrich Klaasen helped South Africa to a 74-run win over Australia in the opening match of the series at Paarl.

It’s been coming for a while as a few years back Klaasen entered the international cricket with a bang but has since tailed off.

However, Klaasen’s unbeaten 123 from 114 balls confirms he is back and ready to take his place in the middle-order which seemed to be his before the 2019 World Cup.

The Sharks are almost certainly South Africa’s most impressive Super Rugby team. They ended their Australasian tour with another win over the Reds, this makes it three wins from four.

There seems to be a different energy around this Sharks side under the leadership of new coach Sean Everitt and skipper Lukhanyo Am.

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi deliver a man of the match performance in the Amakhosi’s 1-0 Soweto derby win against Orlando Pirates on Saturday.

The Nigerian was under pressure having made a mistake in a 2-1 defeat to Maritzburg which meant Chiefs PSL lead was cut from nine to four points. Added to this was the fact that Bafana Bafana and Amakhosi veteran Itumeleng Khune was back fit, which makes Akpeyi’s heroics even better.

The 22-year-old Senegalese attacker put on an inspiring display against the probable Premier League Champions. He was was on target twice against Liverpool to hand them their first league defeat of the season and put an end to their unbeaten run of 44 games.

He broke some records on the way including becoming the first player in England’s elite division to find the net twice against Liverpool since Marcus Rashord for Manchester in March 2018.

Vinicius Jr scored the opening goal in Sunday’s Clasico and created some modern history in the process.

The winger became the youngest person to score a goal in Spain’s most famous fixture in the 21st century, replacing Lionel Messi, who bagged a hat-trick in 2007.
