MESSI LEADS RONALDO IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GOLDEN BOOT RACE

Lionel Messi is the odds on favourite to land the UEFA Champions League Golden Boot with only four potential matches remaining for Europe’s sharp shooters. 

Messi is currently the joint top scorer with Robert Lewandowski on 8 goals.  With Bayern Munich already eliminated the path is open for the prolific Argentinian to seal the accolade for a fifth time.

Cristiano Ronaldo is looking for a seventh straight Golden Boot and eighth win overall. The Juventus goal machine is second in the betting and only three goals back heading into the quarter-final second legs.

He’s got the goals already, he’s playing for the favourites to lift the title and he’s a genius. Lots to like despite the short price.

Going for an incredible seventh straight Golden Boot. Ronaldo has five goals this season but faces a potentially tricky route to the final. Messi is the favourite, but seeing Ronaldo run hot in the knockout stages won’t surprise anyone.

Aguero is also three back and looks the value to nip in at the near post and tuck home this trophy. If City can spark against Spurs, don’t be surprised if Aguero is at the head of the charge. Could be the value bet here.

Only two back, but surely the Ajax man can’t go and win the thing. Can he? A long outsider and rightfully so considering the quality of the players ahead of him in the betting. Could he? We doubt it.
