ODDS ON TIGER WOODS TO WIN A MAJOR IN 2019

The recent resurgence of Tiger Woods has seen a flood of betting action on the 14-time Major champion to lift one of golf’s four premium tournaments in 2019.

Woods ended 2018 in barnstorming fashion, throwing himself into the hunt to win The Open Championship and the PGA Championship, but ultimately fell just short in his quest to land another Major and move closer to Jack Nicklaus record of 18 Major titles.

The outright odds are already out for the 2019 US Masters, 2019 US Open, 2019 British Open and 2019 PGA Championship and using the Dutching method, Woods should be priced at around 3.74 to win. However, BET.co.za has taken the remarkable step of just about doubling those odds and giving Woods’ fans a run at 7.00 on him to win a Major in 2019.

BET: TIGER WOODS TO WIN A MAJOR IN 2019

This is an exciting bet for many reasons, none more so than the fact that Woods has won four times at Augusta National, twice at Pebble Beach (US Open venue) and once at Bethpage Black (PGA Championship venue). Good memories at three of the four venues means you have to fancy his track record.

Woods hasn’t won a Major since the 2008 US Open with his career suffering due to injury and a string of personal problems, but the 42-year-old is reportedly playing pain free and looking very much like the Tiger of old in recent weeks.

We ran a poll with our followers and the general consensus was a resounding thumbs up for Woods to pull it off next year.
